Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the .NAME universal TLD is the only one supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to register john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought 3rd-level domain names remained operational.

Through our company, you can register your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to change the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registration provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular conditions on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME generic top-level domain extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the right spelling in your native language.
