If you would like to transfer a domain from one company to another, you’ll need a unique domain authorization code, which may be referred to by multiple names – an EPP authentication code, an Auth-Info code, a domain name password, and so on. All these names refer to the very same thing – a code that the domain registrant obtains from the present domain name registrar and gives to the new one at the time of the order. Without a valid code, a domain transfer process cannot be initiated and this is one of the safety mechanisms against unauthorized transfers used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For even better security, the code includes digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you would like to transfer one of your domains, you need to present the new domain name registrar with the right code.
EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting
You can get the EPP transfer authorization code for any domain that you’ve registered with our company with only a couple of clicks of the mouse from the same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to administer your cloud hosting account. As soon as you visit the Registered Domains section, you will find all your domains neatly displayed in alphabetical order. If some extension supports transfers between domain name registrars with an EPP code, you will notice an EPP button next to the given domain. If you click that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain. If needed, you can modify the contact details, including the email, without needing to leave this Control Panel section, in case the current email is not valid any longer.
EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you’ve registered a domain that you wish to transfer, you can get the EPP transfer code stunningly easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage both your account and your domains. If you go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll notice an EPP button to the right of your domain names, provided that their extensions support transfers between registrar companies with such a code. All codes are sent automatically by our system to the registrant’s email to make sure that only the domain name owner can obtain this info. In case the currently entered email is not valid, you can edit it with a few mouse clicks without the need to leave this section of the Control Panel. The update is instant, so you’ll be able to request the EPP transfer code for the respective domain straight away.
